TOKYO (Kyodo) -- Sadakazu Tanigaki, leader of the main opposition
Liberal Democratic Party, demanded again Sunday that ruling party
veteran Ichiro Ozawa be summoned to the Diet as a sworn witness over a
political funds scandal that led to the conviction last month of three
of his former aides.
Tanigaki said in a TV program of Japan Broadcasting Corp. that the former leader of the Democratic Party of Japan should address the scandal after his former secretaries were found guilty on Sept. 26 of falsifying political fund reports for Ozawa's fund management body. Read More
