In a dramatic return to the
Thatcherite policy of the 1980s David Cameron will today pledge to make
it cheaper for tenants to buy their council house.
The
Prime Minister will increase discounts for those wanting the 'right to
buy' and also plans to build a new home to replace every property sold.
More than 2.2 million people could benefit from the plan and it is understood Nick Clegg's Liberal Democrats have given their blessing.
