The veteran pilot who crashed into
New York's East River seconds after take-off - killing a British tourist
and injuring three other passengers - screamed as his helicopter dived:
‘We’re going down’.
Pilot Paul Dudley, 56, an experienced flier and airport director, lost control of the chopper that landed upside down in murky water yesterday, killing Sonia Marra and injuring her partner and parents.
The victim's partner Helen Tamaki, her mother Harriet Nicholson and stepfather Paul are fighting for their lives after being pulled to safety. Mr Dudley also survived and is a close friend of the family. More
